Americans are seriously confused
As I’m sure you know, today is Pancake Day – the only day of the year that we go on a kitchen rotation:
es, technically you can enjoy pancakes any day, but wouldn't it be better to forget about them 364 days a year and then eat enough to fill you up in one day? This is.
:is common in the UK it seems our friends in the US aren’t quite
While Pancake Day - or Shrive Tuesday if you're religious - is common in the UK, our friends in the US don't seem to be all that obsessed with it, with some admitting they don't even know what it is. turn around.
One US citizen tweeted asking: "Is Pancake Day real? I think it's just something the Brits do once and never do again." To be fair, it pretty much is, except we Do it once a year.
Another wrote: "Newly qualified Brits celebrate a public holiday called Pancake Day."
"I feel sad that Americans don't celebrate Pancake Day," another commented.
While others knew about the day, were amazed by the number of us here.
"The Brits are weird about pancake day," wrote one. We are sure.
